Experience:

Cornwall Today [work placement]

Cornwall Today is a successful lifestyle magazine, produced by a highly professional team of journalists and designers. I spent a week with them in April 06 researching articles for the magazine’s June addition. I also produced their monthly ‘What’s On’ section, focusing on events taking place in and around Cornwall this summer.

Gasworld Magazine

Gasworld Magazine is an international trade publication with a readership of over 20,000. I have currently produced one article [which you can read in my portfolio] for their April edition, and they have asked me to write another piece for them over the summer.

Bloc Online

Bloc is an online magazine produced by students on the MA Professional Writing course. To date, I have written two articles for the magazine: ‘A grand madness’ and Playing god,’ the latter can be found in my portfolio. I have also been involved with the production of this website.

Projects: For my final project I’m developing an idea for a sitcom I’ve been working on during my screenwriting classes. Once I’ve completed the course I want to continuing developing this project in my spare-time, aiming towards work within the film industry.

Personal: As well as writing for film, television, and magazines, I’m also interested in most sports – particularly football and athletics; I go running two or three times a week
