For years, writing was something I only had a passing interest in.
It was not until I took a module in Creative Writing, whilst studying
for my undergraduate degree, that I began to consider it as a possible
career path. After graduating from Bucks/Chilterns University I spent
a year saving-up before moving down to Falmouth In order to study for an
MA in Professional Writing. The course has helped me to develop my existing
skills, as well as addressing my weaknesses and providing me with a sense
of direction that had been perhaps been lacking. My background is in film,
and it is this medium that I hope to hope to work in upon completion of
the course. My goal upon graduation is to get a job as a staff writer
on a magazine, but my ambition is to write critically for a national film
magazine, whilst at the same time developing and writing a screenplay/radio
play for broadcast.
